Lighthouse Beach Park
This is one of the more popular Sanibel beaches, as it includes several park facilities such as a fishing pier, picnic areas, restrooms, and outdoor showers. Wrapping around the point of Sanibel Island, there’s plenty of beachfront set against the stunning Gulf waters, overlooked by a historic lighthouse.
Bowman’s Beach
This beach is well-known for its great seashell hunting opportunities and offers a more low-key experience as it’s on a more isolated side of the island. Bowman’s beach doesn’t sacrifice basic beach amenities though, as they have picnic areas, restrooms, a playground, and a coastal nature trail.
Gulfside City Park (Angliers Beach)
This beach park is another option for a peaceful day at the beach and offers a grassy picnic area and a nature trail. You could just as easily shell-hunt here as you could lay out in the sun, and the beach boasts a convenient location mid-island. It’s also a great spot to do a little BBQing!
Blind Pass Beach
This beach is absolutely gorgeous, but less friendly to swimmers because of strong currents. But on the other hand, this beach is a sheller’s paradise as those currents bring plenty of interesting and rare shells to shore. This beach is also within walking distance of fantastic local restaurants!
Tarpon Bay Beach
This Sanibel Island beach is another great option right in the middle of the island and offers all the necessary beach facilities one could want—picnic areas, showers, and restrooms! You’ll also find bike racks here, making this stop a must if you’re doing a self-guided island bike tour.
